Jivamukti Classes with Beth Filla, Sunday, 2/24 – 11:30 am to 1:30 pm

Jivamukti Yoga is practice toward oneness that joyfully incorporates vigorous physical practice, chanting, and meditation with yoga philosophy– all set to great music and practiced with other amazing people seeking the same goal. It might just blow your mind. Classes are scheduled for 1/27, 2/24, and 3/24

Beth Filla, E-RYT 200 RYT 500, has been practicing yoga since 1996 and teaching since 2005. She was fortunate to be certified as a Jivamukti Yoga Teacher in 2012, one of the final years that both co-founders of the Jivamukti method conducted the entire training. As the former long-time owner of Yogawood, she used to teach a lot in the space that is now YogaTree and is proud to have trained many of your favorite teachers.

YogaTree welcomes local massage therapist, Ali Lopez, who will be offering therapeutic massage at the studio on Sundays, Mondays & Wednesdays. Ali uses a unique blend of Swedish, Thai, and myofascial stretching techniques bound to leave you moving and feeling better than you came.

Nia with Mary Jo, Dance Movement and Meditation, Thurs., Feb. 21st , 4:30pm

Similar to Yoga Dance, come dance for Joy! No experience necessary, low impact and fun!

4:30 to 5:30 pm, $10

Akin to YogaDance, your hour will include joyful dance party and a short relaxing guided meditation. Nia is a dynamic fitness and lifestyle practice combining movement and philosophies from powerful Martial Arts, expressive Dance Arts, and integrative Healing Arts to bring the body, mind, emotions and spirit to life! Nia emphasizes not only physical conditioning, but also creativity, community, self-discovery, and individual expression.

Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: the base, the core and the upper extremities. Nia is adaptable to different levels of challenge by choosing from three intensity levels. Nia delivers a joyful, invigorating, and powerful practice both on and off the dance floor. Every body is welcome!

Guest Instructor

Mary Jo Dervos is a Nia White Belt Teacher. She teaches swimming and fitness classes, including Nia, at the Wycoff Family YMCA. She has taught classes, directed programs and coached in the fitness area for many years. Her career includes serving as the Director of a senior center, a High School Physical Education teacher, and a swim team coach. Mary Jo has integrated fitness and wellness into the lives of many.
